“The Four Agreements” is written by Don Miguel Ruiz, not Paulo Coelho (writer of The Alchemist..another really awesome book!)
The appropriate reference is actually from
The second agreement, Don’t Take Anything Personally. When we take something another person says or does personally, we are admitting we believe in it, and agree in it, which in turn, establishes that as part of our reality. My notion was that we get to choose the things we agree to, and want to include in our way of living.
This book is really awesome and I recommend it :) It’s simultaneously simple and profound. Here’s a quick list of the agreements. Sorry for the miscommunication in the video <3
1. Be impeccable with your word.
2. Don't take anything personally.
3. Don't make assumptions.
4. Always do your best.
